Lamex Foods Europe B.V. is seeking a dedicated QA and Compliance Officer to join the Quality Department in Doetinchem. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team while managing a diverse range of responsibilities. As a key member of the Quality Department, you will work closely with the teams in Bangkok and London, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to quality standards.

In this role, you will work alongside the Quality Support Manager, Chantita Setalaphruk, to manage client communications, ensuring that all interactions are professional and aligned with quality objectives. Responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of tasks, including detailed administrative work and meticulous attention to detail. You will also collaborate with a team of experts, including five food technologists based in Bangkok.

This position offers the chance to contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance across global operations while playing a crucial role in client relations.

Your tasks include but are not limited to:

  1. Conduct routine maintenance and ensure compliance with the quality management system, including managing the annual audit process to achieve Lamex BV’s yearly BRC Agents and Brokers and IFS Broker certificates.
  2. Track the renewal of certificates and maintain up-to-date quality system documentation.
  3. Oversee the supplier monitoring and approval process.
  4. Monitor regulatory changes and implement new requirements, including supporting import/export activities and adhering to labeling requirements.
  5. Provide support for customer requirements, such as traceability data, quality-related documentation, certifications, and specifications.
  6. Offer assistance with compliance and manage the product information database or online portal as needed.
  7. Coordinate packaging and labeling with suppliers and customers to ensure that products meet both customer requirements and the laws and regulations of the destination country.
  8. Coordinate with laboratories for necessary analyses and sample testing. Assess results and take corrective actions if deviations are found.
  9. Conduct supplier inspections and internal audits.
  10. Manage customer complaints and non-conformities.

For this challenging and versatile position of QA & Compliance Officer in a globally leading international food organization, we are seeking candidates with a broad interest in the flow of goods, a commercial mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. You are more than just a forwarder and carefully check the details to make sure everything sent to the partners is accurate.

Furthermore, the following points are important:

  1. You have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a food-related field.
  2. You have 3-5 years of experience within the food industry, with a focus on labeling and a strong affinity for food products.
  3. Strong understanding of food safety protocols. Proficient in food business-related regulations especially for European and Middle East regions.
  4. Excel at navigating complex regulatory landscapes and adapting to evolving standards such as RSPO, RTRS, Animal welfare requirements, Sedex/SMETA, and ESG.
  5. Knowledge of HACCP, BRC/IFS requirements.
  6. You are responsible and analytical, with a systematic approach and strong attention to detail.
  7. You are diplomatic and discreet, yet decisive when action is required.
  8. You are a proactive team player with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to manage tasks under pressure.
  9. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Fluent in English and Dutch or fluent in English and German.
  11. Willing to travel for work and accompany the director on client visits, average once every 1 to 2 months.
