Supplier Quality Assurance Technologist Nuts

For a European market leader you will be managing one or more nuts raw material categories from a quality, food safety and technical point of view. You will also be responsible for the approval and management of the suppliers’ processing sites in these categories. That means you must be a travel enthusiast or otherwise you will go nuts Interesting fact about this role is that you will get the opportunity to become the expert in your category. And as such, you will be able to help your suppliers and make them even better than they already are. Reporting to the Team Manager Supplier Quality Assurance Nuts, you’ll ensure that all raw materials comply with legal, customer and company requirements and actions are taken towards suppliers and internal stakeholders in case of any non-conformance. As the jobholder works closely within a network of suppliers, procurement managers, factory quality managers and other internal stakeholders, relationship management skills and business acumen are crucial. This is what you will be responsible for:

  • Supplier assessment and management according to Intersnack Group and Procurement procedures. To ensure compliance, regular supplier quality audits and technical visits and supplier development based on performance measures are key;
  • Support that materials are delivered to the Intersnack factories within agreed quality, food safety and technical specifications;
  • Manage relationships with Intersnack factories / Operating Companies (OpCos). Handle and resolve quality and food safety issues and complaints and give feedback to OpCos, aiming to reduce raw materials quality complaint levels;

Respectful, sustainable and mutually beneficial collaborations are starting points for you in your work. When working with others to solve a problem, you know how to flawlessly switch between the proverbial “carrot” and “stick”.
    Besides the above, we ask:

  • Bachelor / Master of Science degree in a science-based field (e.g. Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Food Quality Management, Microbiology, Chemistry);
  • 2-3 years experience in Supplier Quality Assurance, Quality Management or similar, in the FMCG and/or food industry;
