Job DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Operations Manager to join our international team at Little Monkey Hostel in Enschede. This key role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring all departments run smoothly, and that every guest enjoys a high-quality experience. You’ll work closely with all team leads and report directly to the owners to keep standards high and operations efficient.This is the perfect position for someone who is hands-on, organised, great with people, and passionate about hospitality. We’re looking for someone who can take initiative, solve problems, and help us keep growing while staying true to the relaxed, welcoming vibe that defines Little Monkey.ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations: Oversee the smooth functioning of all hostel areas, including reception, housekeeping, guest services, and maintenance.Guest Experience: Ensure guests have a great stay by handling special requests, resolving issues, and creating a positive atmosphere throughout the hostel.Communication: Act as the main link between departments, ensuring clear and effective internal communication.Problem Solving: Quickly identify issues and take practical steps to solve them, whether with bookings, staff, or facilities.Quality Control: Maintain and improve standards across all areas — cleanliness, customer service, and facility upkeep.Stock and Supplies: Monitor hostel supplies and help with stock ordering and inventory across different departments.Reporting & Admin: Support daily reports, handle invoices, and contribute to overall planning and improvements.Team Management: Supervise and support staff, help coordinate schedules, and assist in hiring and training new team members.QualificationsExperience in hospitality or operations management is highly preferred.Strong leadership and organisational skills.A hands-on attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.Good communication and problem-solving skills.Fluent in English (Dutch is a bonus, but not required).Comfortable with a flexible full-time schedule, including weekends and evenings.Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure.Genuine passion for creating great guest experiences.
